The vision guiding Tecnocorr’s evolution is deeply linked to the figure of Silvestro Scotto, founder and technical driving force of the company. A master mariner, entrepreneur, and cathodic protection specialist, Scotto has been operating in the field since 1976, gaining direct experience on ships, marine infrastructures, pipelines, and offshore facilities worldwide.
After founding in the 1980s a leading entrepreneurial venture in the nautical sector, Silvestro Scotto continued to develop innovative solutions for the protection of submerged metallic structures, combining technical expertise with practical knowledge of the marine environment. Since 2014, he has been a founding partner of Tecnocorr and Head of Research and Development; since 2025, he has been specifically leading the development of the new Marine Division.
His professional career is marked by a constant focus on the reliability of cathodic protection systems, the safety of vessels, and, in recent years, the environmental impact of anticorrosion technologies.

Federico Balocco is the founder and General Manager of Tecnocorr S.r.l. – Marine & Industry Cathodic Protection. He has been working in the field of cathodic protection and corrosion engineering since 1989, gaining over thirty-five years of experience in complex industrial projects worldwide, both onshore and offshore.
Throughout his career, he has held positions of increasing technical and managerial responsibility, focusing on engineering design, development of advanced solutions and supervision of installation activities. Prior to founding Tecnocorr in 2014, he gained extensive experience as Design Specialist and Managing Director at Wilson Walton International, as well as Project Manager in Research & Development activities.
Under his leadership, Tecnocorr has established itself as a reference point in cathodic protection for industrial, marine and offshore infrastructures, through an approach based on engineering expertise, field experience and tailor-made, long-lasting solutions.

Marina Sacco, co-founder together with Federico Balocco, is Account Manager at Tecnocorr S.r.l. – Marine & Industry Cathodic Protection, where she coordinates administrative and logistics activities as well as relationships with clients and suppliers, playing a key role in the company’s operational efficiency.
Within the organization, she is a reference point for document flow management, supply coordination and project support, ensuring continuity between technical, production and commercial functions. Her contribution is essential to the successful execution of projects in both industrial and marine sectors, at national and international level.
Through a structured and detail-oriented approach, she supports Tecnocorr’s organizational strength and helps maintain high standards of quality and reliability for its customers.
